The IDPI certification programs are developed by University professors, researchers and DEI professionals and offers content that focuses on practical actions you can immediately apply. You’ll gain knowledge and work to develop actionable steps in implementing and sustaining an inclusive culture within your organization and your community.
Participants who complete all certification requirements will have the knowledge, methodologies, strategies and tools to participate in and lead a life-changing DEI effort. Additionally you will:
- Understand the historical context of discrimination and oppression.
- Develop awareness and understanding about how biases drive discrimination and their impact on the decision-making process;
- Understand the impact of racism and the systems that support supremacy and their manifestation in people’s lives and work;
- Develop a leadership plan that focuses on belonging and inclusion strategies;
- Understand, support, and celebrate the rising identities through compassion and intersectional awareness;
- Hold uncomfortable and collaborative conversations;
- Conduct equity audits in policies, procedures and programs.
